Teaching and examination content
The teaching and examination content of the Geotechnics III module includes: the theory of soil mechanics laboratory and field tests, the mechanical effect of water in soil and rock, options for groundwater management and groundwater-friendly construction methods, limit states in soil and rock, the limit state of loss of overall stability (ground failure, slope failure, landslide), as well as the design and dimensioning of excavation support systems (bored girder shoring, bored pile wall, sheet pile wall, diaphragm wall).
