The teaching and examination content of the Geotechnics II module includes an introduction to the safety concept in geotechnics. Verification of the stability of shallow foundations (tilting, sliding and ground failure), hydraulics in the ground, hydraulically induced failure (hydraulic ground failure, uplift) and an introduction to pile design under vertical loading.
