The Geotechnics I module provides an introduction to geotechnics. The teaching and examination content includes: the multiphase soil system with its constituents, naming and describing soil and rock, soil classification, stresses in soil and rock, the stress-deformation behaviour of soils and aspects of environmental geotechnics.
