‘Construction continues even in times of corona! The Bundeswehr Central Hospital in Koblenz is an important base in the fight against the pandemic.

Implenia is constructing the turnkey excavation pit on the site of the Bundeswehr Central Hospital for a new functional and operations building.

The construction task is the execution of almost 500 foundation piles and more than 6,000 m² of overlapping, multi-layer back-anchored pile walls in challenging geology.

The presentation gives an insight into the complex special foundation engineering work from planning to execution under construction and geological aspects under the special boundary conditions of infection protection as an additional challenge.’
