Participation in the XVIII European Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ECSMGE) in Lisbon

Marc Schneider and Frederik Brosz represented the Institute of Geotechnics at the XVIII European Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ECSMGE) in Lisbon. The conference is the largest European conference in the field of geotechnical engineering and as such offers an excellent platform for knowledge exchange and networking.
Marc Schneider presented the current findings on the behaviour of piled embankments with a basal steel reinforcement of the GEOLAB project ‘Piled Embankments with a Basal STEel Reinforcement – PEBSTER’.
Frederik Brosz presented our latest developments in the field of automatic parameter calibration of advanced constitutive models under monotonic and cyclic loading.
With a total of four presentations involving the Institute of Geotechnics, we were very well represented at the ECSMGE and were able to provide an insight into our current research activities.
