The FE program numgeo is being developed at the Institute of Geotechnics at TU Darmstadt, among others. The workshop focused on an introduction to the diverse capabilities of the FE program and the simulation of a wide range of boundary value problems. The participants from the universities (TU-Dresden, BTU Cottbus and Prof. von Wolffersdorff) as well as participants from practice used numgeo for the simulation of highly cyclically loaded foundation bodies, infiltration processes, problems of subsoil dynamics and soil liquefaction as well as the simulation of vibration pile driving. In addition to the application, many technical discussions were also held on the implementations in numgeo.
