Rehabilitation methods for Italian motorway tunnels

Italian motorways were built since 1921 and they include many engineering structures subjected to decay and aging over time. Among these, #tunnels are currently being inspected and repaired. The need arises to identify appropriate #rehabilitation methods that can also guarantee the continuation of service in safe conditions and functionality. The repair works often require partial or integral demolition and rebuilding of the tunnel crown and springlines. Marco will present that this is a challenge but also an opportunity for a major upgrade and for the renewal of the infrastructure.
