The GEOLAB EU-Project: Opening Access to World-Class European Geotechnical Research Facilities for groundbreaking Research
„A recently approved EU-project, GEOLAB aims to serve as a one-stop-shop for excellent physical research infrastructure for performing groundbreaking research and innovation towards addressing the challenges faced by the Critical Infrastructure of Europe. Focus issues include, among others, climate change, extreme events and aging.To this end, GEOLAB brings together 10 leading geotechnical institutions in Europe to open up access to key and unique research installations that already represent the best of the state-of-the-art available today.
In this talk, we will give an overview of these installations and present the general mechanism and principles by which external researchers and practitioners can access said installations free of charge. Other opportunities for participation in GEOLAB activities, particularly the new generation researchers, will also be discussed.“
